Peace and Relaxation

First of all, my family enjoys camping with a passion. We go every opportunity available to us. To us, there is nothing better than sitting around the fire and spending time together, talking, joking and yes, sometimes singing. For me, it is my down-time. A time for me to reflect on my life, the lives of my children and my relationship with my husband. I contemplate the direction I am going in life and whether or not I want to change that direction. I do talk with God on these walks which helps me find peace. Surrounded by the sounds of nature I relax and can actually feel the tension seeping out of my muscles. However, time restraints have kept us from camping for quite a while. I am wondering what you do to stay balanced and what activities you find the most relaxing.

Oh I wish you have a lawn where you can pitch your tent and pretend you're in a campsite somewhere else. YOu can also do stargazing if you don't live in a night city.

It has been a very long time since I have camped in the backyard. I forgot just how much fun it could be. I may plan this with my kids, of course it is a bit cold here right now so I may have to wait until spring. Thank you for the reminder. : )

I also find that just getting away from it all and letting nature take over is also probably one of the most satifying and as relaxing as they come!!!

I am wondering if the reason we are so relaxed by surrounding ourself with nature has to do with the busy day-to-day lifestyles that we lead? Perhaps it is just the simplicity of it all, no greed, no corruption, just nature. : ) Thank you for your response.
