Single family, Common family

If a joint family (common family) lives in a village, there is no problem. The farm work can be shared by each and every one. In cities, it is simply not possible because the problem of sharing expenses, ineqitable distribution of things including food, improper timings (working hours) may cause irritation and misunderstanding, variations in the earnings of each of the heads of single families may create jealousy. Single family with man and woman working may consider it advantageous to stay separate than in single family.They fear that their savings gets wiped out in big families.
