We just celebrated our child's birthday! We had family over, a nice meal, and cake with icecream. It was lovely to have all the the older members, and little ones over. How does you celebrate birthday's? Or do you even?

My son had his first birthday earlier this month. We didn't celebrate because he's one... And we couldn't afford to..literally. Plus we don't have family that live here in the state that we live in. Maybe next year or when he turns 3. His birthday is also close to Christmas so this will be interesting.

January birthday's are hard...My kids went to the basement to find old toys to give to the little one. They cleaned them up, and gosh was the toddler over joyed! He hadn't a clue! I encourage you to celebrate...Have a cookie, or make a cheap cake, and sing a song! Belated Birthday to your little boy!

We celebrate my children's birthdays by hosting a childrens party composed of cousins, and friends with kids. We usually serve kids meals like spaghetti, hotdog, chicken lollipops, ice cream, cake, etc. And to make it more fun, we add some sort of entertainment. Like for my daughter's first birthday party, we hired a Dora the Explorer mascot to render a couple of dance numbers and a magician to entertain the kids and to host the games. I also celebrate my birthday, and my husband's, but no party. We just have a nice family dinner.
