I really fancy being able to retire by 35-40 at the latest. Then I want to spend a lot of time with my family, nature, visit places in this wonderful world we live in, do good, help people...things like that. Anyone with me or do people love going to work?

You think that is what you want but, you will become bored very easily. If you retire early if you are a Christian you would be free to do the Lords work and help others in whatever capacity the Lord showed you. God Bless

Yes I am Christian, and yes one of the things I would love to have more time for is to help out people and reach out to those that have no one..God willing, I will make it!

I hope you can achieve your aim for early retirement but sadly often other things get in the way, i.e. having enough money to educate your children. We retired when my husband was in his in his late 40's and I was a few years younger but that was due to ill health at the time. Since then things have improved but still we have to watch the budget and we don't have any dependant children. Good luck and I hope it works out well for you. :)
