Author Salem Kirban in his book, 'The Rise of Anti-Christ' wrote, "The author has received letters from many people speculating on who Antichrist might be. Numbers have been juggled to show that it might be the Pope or a world leader. Rev. Richard Thomas of Ohio suggested that the computer may well become the mechanical monster Antichrist may use to exercise to control over the population." Do you believe in this speculation, because i personally dont. Please post your response on this topic. Thanks.

Salem Kirban stated in his writing that God warns of a world leader who exist in Bible in about 33 names and titles, will carry out antichrist actions in the future. He will make US step aside the role of a super power guarding the world, and he will exert contol over nations in Europe. He may also use computers as devices to strengthen his antichrist forces. Well I don't know if this is credible. Because if he really got the message from the Bible. Then there must be some truth in it. Nevertheless, I think the connection between internet and the computers, and cell phones can become a mighty combination. I have watched one of the movie of the Batman series in which a wicked fellow had invented a device which could access viewers mind through TV screen. I think this is not impossible and this trick may be carried out through internet too. It is possible that people mey be hypnotized by some means like images or sound and they eventually act according to the world leader's indication.

yap there is a certaing possibility that computers are tools to exercise control over the population as kirban explained. but certainly not antichrist. the bible states that antichrist is a person, some christian denominations even hinted that it is the Pope or an emerging leader of the united Europe. Well taken my friend, you have articulated good enough to be rated excellent

Just like religion, computers only have as much power as they are given. The more people rely on them the more they are seen as a threat. Look around your house and see how many electronic gadgets you have. Could you live without your remote? Garage door opener? Alarm clock? Well, I couldn't LOL. Saying that a computer or even an entire computer network is the antichrist is like saying that there is some truth to 'government intelligence'.

The computer maybe the only way christians have to communiate once the true anti-christ reveals himself. As with the ichtus fish to tell us who other christians are the computer just might be the way we keep in touch in this age of technology. Just something to think about.

I believe the Antichrist, or equivilant, will be a person. He will be a religious leader that will know the bible very well. He will use it in a way that no one could ever challenge him. He will be an excellent speaker and totally blind everyone, even some who call themselves believers. Using his religious following, he will try to "control" people around the world with it in ways that will seem good and no one would be able to dispute him. He will appear to be doing good and will be winning converts all the time. Then, once he has the world under his control, he will change into a demon and no one would be able to stop him. I do believe that technologies that are on the edge now may be use to "create an image of the beast" that is mentioned in the bible. And, also, with these new technologies, the Antichrist will be in even more control of people.

Big question. Anti-Christ will be a human being, at least for a while. I do think that 'he' (Anti-Christ may be a woman, but I'm positive the bible specifies a male) will most deffinatly use computers (the internet too) and cell phones as a tool to controll the people. I don't think that he is going to start out as a pope or world leader. He will become both before Jesus comes back to kick his butt. If you have ever read the Left Behind series, I agree with the way that they describe Anti-Christ and the way things are played out in the final years. If you haven't read it, please do. The very best part about the series is that the series of events and most of the description (not physical, but other wise) of Anti-christ is Biblicaly supported by quoting the verse it came from.
