I know the advantages of the banking profession. the job is responsible but simply cannot be compared with that of the BPO Job. The BPO job is for novices and that too not as dignified as the banking. You remain as a call centre executive for ever. here in banking the career is excellent and you gain expertise in fields like Foreign exchange etc. The timing factor is only the small benefit but the career part for a young man is something that matters. when you get double the money where is the doubt? by the by are you too hasty to select the best response within an hour ??

He needs to make the decision based on his goals in life and others shouldnt interfere as he will blame them if things dont work out.

Joining HDFC will be the better option. It will be cool working hours in HDFC, 9am - 5pm. He can better manage between family and work. Also, MBA will help him for growth. BPO is a job where people must have flexible and he have to do job sometimes in night shifts. It ruins the family life.

For a honest and hard worker it makes no difference either working in bpo or bank. But if you compare both in respect of work satisfaction, keeping good health, giving company to family members at an appropriate time. I say bank job is preferable. Because your presence in the bank is essential during the day time. After finishing the day's work in the evening you can say good bye and forget the work till next day. Whereas in bpo, night duty at odd hours, you have work at the cost of your health. Once health is detoriated, it will be very difficult to recover. It is upto the individual to decide.
