One law for the west, another for the rest

If you're living outside Europe, you would have seen or heard this as this very popular, especially in asia. When european govts. urge others to respect human rights and internatonal laws, they mean everybody but them. What do you think of this?Every one in the west or east, may have a different view on this, let me know.
