Ford's or Toyota's, Which is a better buy?

out of those two, i would favor a toyota. i like japanese imorts. maybe just because i grew up around it. never really had an american car before. so i tend to trust the japanese since they're the leaders in technology.

as an American I want to buy American made cars. But after almost 30 years of driving I am sorry to say most American cars suck and cost too much money to maintain. I currently have a 1996 Toyota with 109,000 miles on it. This car has ALWAYS been reliable and even though it is 11 years old it still runs and performs as good as it did on day 1. The car has been low maintenance and only broke down twice in 11 years (once because the fuel injectors were clogged and once because the starter went bad). During those 11 years I also owned 2 GMC trucks that cost me a fortune to maintain and broke down regularly....THOUSANDS of DOLLARS wasted...NEVER AGAIN
