Yes, u can.. :). I did.. my husband and i met in a yahoo chat in 1998. We met at a gathering in KL organised by the room in '99 and were married in 2000.. A friend of mine met her husband from Australia in one of the chat room as well ;-)
I guess you have to open your mind and take a risk sometimes.. there are a lot of cheaters and liars out there as well who takes advantage of innocent newbies or gullible souls.. but if you dont try.. u wont know...my motto

oh cashnono and u probably should not :).. but no one actually go into chat room or the internet for that matter to find love. But when fate and destiny step in.. nothing else matter... good luck with ur girlfriend.. as in all relationship... it takes effort to make it work...

i also met mine in 2005 met him in person 2006 and was married june 2006 and we are very happy :)

im never in chat anymore and only on messenger once in awhile since i found him i feel as if i got all i need for the rooms :)

Oh absolutley! my fiancee and i met on myspace actually lol I know I can hear the snears now. He was in Afghanistand and sent me a message telling me about himself and asked if i would mind talking to him and being friends because he needed a woman to talk to while he was in the middle of the desert with a bunch of guys. He told me quite a bit about himself and at first i was skeptical until we discovered we shared mutual friends. I called one of them and was able to verify everything with this person. After that we talked every single day and we got very close. This was in January of last year 2006. In october of this year we will finally be married. I am very excited. I totally agree with you on having to open your ming and take a risk. I did and I am so glad I did. Never have i had any regrets. Did you have any ever?

wow. i have hear stories like this. there is a tv program in discovery travel and living call e-love. which shows couple like you. but i prefer not to find my match in a chat room. maybe use a dating site. which is a little more trust worthy

yes i understand where u are coming from.. i was a bit skeptical as well in the beginning.. when me and hubby started exchanging photograph during the initial stages.. we were both not sure whether we can really trust that it was really an actual photo of each other... until we met... then the rest like they say is history...heheh

I believe you can, but I am not into it. I know you are happy now. It just that internet love story is more of a fiction kind of luv. But don't get me wrong. I knew of people that found their love thru internet,and boy how happy and meaningful their life now. But its just not for me. Sorry :(
