PAGANISM/WITCHCRAFT vs. CHRISTIANITY

I was born and raised as a catholic but i find witchcraft an interesting religion. I've been reading books about this religion. WITCHCRAFT has been a religion for ages even before Christianity began. why is it that 75% or so are Christians? and why do we consider witchcraft or paganism a sin when some of our actuations and rituals in our own religion were taken from witchcraft rituals (ex: the priest in catholic and the priestess in witchcraft and a lot more) try researching and you'll wonder about all these things regarding religion. Catholics even pray to saints using statues of saints.. come to think of it, isn't this a sin? since God said that he is the only one we should pray to? I think that all religions are equal and it doesn't matter w/c religion you belong to as long as you keep or faith strong and you are spiritually nourished. On the other hand, I would like to here your opinions and if you may, please do give some info or facts about these religions. thanks!
