Are all the terrorist shows on television just brainwashing?

I see so many shows about special teams (usually Americans) fighting terrorists by having access to the details of the general public. They can access people's credit details and all the other information in databases everywhere such as banks, hotel records etcetera. I am wondering if anyone has considered that this might be intentional. What if it is a way to get the American / Australian / British etc public used to the idea of letting the government know everything. Is it a way to have massive amounts of information on all of us, without any of use complaining? Conspiracy theory maybe. But media manipulation to sell us products happens every day. The timing of certain world events and the introduction of the Patriot Act in America for example is interesting...

I guess you could also worry about 'reality TV'. Countless shows with people being monitered form every angle, all the time! Big Brother, Survivor...Plus many more! I think your onto something there MooChicken...Now that you've brought it to my attention, a lot of television shows are hinting at all of what you mentioned...^_^

They do crazy stuff on TV everyday, always have. Thats because on TV you can do what you can't in real life. Isn't that the point?
