Not a Price Concious Shopper

I just realized - while replying to a post - a lot of my purchases for computer peripherals, clothes or other services such as hotels are based on their prices. My general is, the more expensive it is, the better the quality. Staying at a well known hotel gives me a sense of security, so I feel safer. Buying a more expensive camera of the same brand makes it a better, longer lasting camera; by default. Buying clothes made by MNG lasts longer because their material and workmanship is better - remains to be debated. I've just thought of a new resolution. I will spend less to buy more! lol

Well, I love saving money on quality things. If I can find an item that at the beginning of the season sold for 3x more than what I paid for it, I will leave the store smiling. What I do is shop at some of the better Dept. stores and look for racks that have the 50-75% off items. Sometimes you can find nice items in mint condition by shopping this way. I am also very concerned about hotel security when I travel, so I usually stay at brands, whose service is consistent no matter what part of country I happen to travel to. My motto is to spend less and smile more...Ss

i am a price conscious shopper. i always look at the price first before buying things. but this only applies to clothes and shoes. the technical stuffs i buy are those that i really love about the quality. i don't usually buy internally branded clothes. local brands are okey for me. for as long as they are comfortable and looks good on me, too.

You are very smart to rethink your position on this matter ,price isn't what makes a product ...you can find some great deals for loads of things through sales and also clearance racks for clothing ... you will get the hang out it soon ... :)

I am a careful spender, I do tons of research before AI make purchases, I have long ago learned that price and quality are mutually exclusive. I save where I can and spend where I need to. I wll shop at Sam's to save on food. But I know that computers and support are worth the extra cost.

You remind me of my one brother. He'll do that especially with hotels. He has to go to one with all the amenities and costs a small fortune even if it's one that he's just stopping at mid trip for a few hours. He's there to sleep and then continue driving but he has to have that gym and all the extras. That never made much sense to me. I'm glad to see you are re-thinking things. I have had many things that are generic, off brand etc that have lasted far longer and handle better then the pricier brands. One has to look at the quality of the item not at the name or price. That's the big thing to watch for.
