if you don't agree with homosexuality can you still be friends with homosexuals?

I've been gettting this thought in my mind about homosexuality lately. yes i do respect their preference and all that. but there something inside me that just doesn't accept it as normal yet. although i have tons of gay friends and really enjoy their company. but if it boils to asking if i think it's right or wrong.. i'd have to say that latter. I don't know why... another thing about this is that gays and lesbians expect us to respect their preference and the way they are but shouldn't they also respect us if we don't agree with it? if we don't agree with it.. can we still remain friends? just a thought!

It is possible. I am a person who doesn't really have anything good to say about homosexuality, but I have great friends who belong to that 'third ex'. It is just a matter of respect on ehat other people believe. =)

yup. thanks for the first 2 responses. I have been having struggles of between having my principles brought upon to my friends.. however i have realized that we can still be friends even if we do not share the same principles. it's just like other nations. we all can co-exist even if we are different.

You can be friends with people who do things you don't agree with. You don't have to agree with everything they do nor they with what you do. Respect is the key to all.

I think it is possible! At the end of the day, a great friend is somebody who you know their faults or points you disagree with them about, but you are willing to see past them because you like them so much. Friendship isn't so much about ignoring the bad, but accepting it as part of them. Or maybe that is another discussion. Is friendship accepting somebody, or trying to change somebody? Maybe it is a personal decision!
