does love remain colourful always?

i have heard many people say that it is only in the first year of courtship that love is colourful and all exciting...is it true? if so what exactly happens midway? does it die or is it still there, only the levels of expression go on varying????

for me, if love should not fade away i got be honest and live honestly my friend i think i do this iam won the game. and if you do it you have won the game.
