Should the casinos put limits on gambler's losses?

It seems like every time I go to the casino, I see and hear people talking about losing hundreds, even thousands of dollars. Most of the time, these same people don't appear to be wealthy enough to be losing that kind of money. I don't like to tell anyone what they can do with their own money, but I hate to think that people are out there gambling away the grocery money or money that's needed to support their families. I've known of people who've lost their entire retirement to gambling and mortgaged their homes to finance gambling. I think Missouri used to limit a person's losses to $500 in a few hours time, before they could start gambling again, but I don't know if they still do that. Given that so many people seem to have a problem, maybe that's the best solution. Limit gambling losses and force people to at least take a breather and rethink what they're doing. What do the rest of my fellow gamblers think?
