Clivias

Do any of you grow clivias? Clivias are indigenous to South Africa, but have been cultivated for years all over the world and many new hybrids have seen the light. My latest purchase is a yellow clivia, and I will be able to harvest seed later this year to get new clivias growing. It is however a long term project as they take about 5 years to flower.

What a beautiful flower. Sometimes creating something from a seed and nourishing it for years is worth the wait.. as I can see from your picture! I have a way of killing anything I plant! So I will be kind to the Clivias and let people like you keep planting them! lol
