What kind of drugs are your close relatives hooked on?

I have a close relative that just does not seem to wanna grow up. I look at it like he don't wanna grow up because I feel at some point in time, you need to quit doing those 'experimental' drugs. As a teen, I can see that people try some stuff. It happens. But, when you are a parent now, and you are grown....why are you still going out and getting high all the time? Now this 'relative' of mine, he just doesn't seem to wanna quit. He has lost his wife, mother of his first child, and he still didn't kick it? He still uses every chance he gets. I feel like at some point, you need to realize you have responsibilities. How do you make someone realize they are wasting their life? Can you make them grow up? Any advice?
