We had a bad day today

happens to my mom all the time thats why we had to get a new car cuz the one we had then was havin a bad time starteing then it wouldnt start at all so we just got a new truck

We have had to call Triple A on a few occasions. We didn't have the ability to just go buy a battery like your hubby at the time of our misfortune. It is a shame that this has to happen and it does a bit too often. We often do our best to take care of our vehicles, however, with the prices we have to pay it is often put off til it inconveniences us. Hope it turns out to be an easy fix and that it does not cost you too much!

That is bad news! I have been very lucky and have not had this happen to me. But I always have my cell phone just in case it does. At least I can call for help if I have to.

Yeah. I had an electrical glitch in my Jeep that resulted in the whole vehicle shutting down due to a $1.00 fuse blowing. I later found the cause.

first of all, are they lights on in the car? second did it make any noise when you put in a new battary and try to start it? i have alot of problem with cars because i had a lot of problem with cars, and if you put in a new battary it did nothing, my guess it is a starter. not a 100% but i think tha tis what it is. let me know what you find out. because if it is starter it should be cheap to replace. if they charge you more than 200 dollars they are taking advantage of you.

Certainly have had bad days with broken down cars. It is always a challenge, always requires money that is hard to come by and it can really mess up your schedule. Hang on, you will get through it. Sounds like your husband did a fine job of looking for the ready solutions. Hope it works out well for you.

Many years ago when all I could afford was 'old bangers' for my cars I did use to spend a fair amount of time broken down and waiting for friends to come along and tow me back home again .. but thankfully these days I have much better cars and can rely on a breakdown service should anything go wrong .. I certainly wouldn't want to go back to those bad old days of breaking down everytime I went anywhere ...

unlucky sweetlady. the worst day i had was when my favourite sporting teams and players lost all in the same night in the last minutes. this happened 2 weeks ago

My husbands truck wouldn't start after work yesterday and the same thing. Were in Michigan and it was exceptionally cold so he thought the battery. A friend at work tried to jump it but nothing. It's the starter my husband said because of the cold sometimes ice can get into it and then you don't get enough spark to start it. He got a ride home last night and I took him this morning to work and wouldn't you know it started. But he advised me if you hit the starter with a hammer sometimes that works to get the spark you need. Hope this helps
