will remaking the films give any fruits?

As we are seeing in the present,Film Industry is showing interest towards remaking the old films with new actors,actress which were hit at that time.Recently Don which was remake of old don was released and the story too same. My topic is will it give benifits to producers and directors than taking a film which was not remake.
