There are Some Flakes On Craig's List

A lot of the people that are selling on Craig's list are Ebay rejects and scammers. I have had a couple of bad experiences with Craig's list and one good one. I bought an RV on Craig's off of Craig's list. But the two times I tried to Barter the People did not come through. It is fun to list free stuff for people to pick up though. We did that with things that were left over from our garage sale.

I have to agree, Craigslist has been horriable lately. I have been stood up more times than I can count and it is makeing me so mad. I loved it when it first started out but I think it got to big to fast. That then scammers that e-mail your trying to get you to take a a casheirs check, Duh people Craigslist warns people about that so why try.

I have been stood up too on a barted deal. But I just kind of consider the source. I guess you have to expect it with that site. Thanks for your comment.

I'm always looking at online opportunites on business but I came across a disturbing opporunity that uses craig list, classified lisitings and so on to get what you would call spamish results. I'm not gonna mention what business op it is but I will tell you a technique that they use. Lets say for example you go to craig list looking for a free puppy dog. The spammer will post a fake add saying that he or she has a dog to a good home. Only to have his or her email set up to send out a sorry reply and a url to an affilate link to sell some kind of product dealing what that subject. It goes even further such as putting the person on a mailing list. My advice if you plan to reply to one of these adds and not sure use an alterntaive email address. This way if you do get spammmed its not your primary acount. Anyway just thought id share that with you.

Thank you for sharing that and I am trying to use a different address for anything that can be spam. Thanks for your comment.

The only problem I have every had with craigslist is the people trying to send "a buyer" to me with a cashier's check. Yeah right. I reply back and tell them I only take cash. Even with all the warnings on the top of craiglist's website, I am sure there are a lot of people who fall for it.
