Does anyone else here suffer through there life with chronic pain. I have been diagnosed with Epstein Barr and fibromyalgia. Im 34 year old and have osteoporosis and arthritis as well alone with curvature of the spine. Add some other health problems with aggravate it. The last few years its been very hard getting through day to day. Some days i wasn't even able to get out of bed. I lived off Advil and aleve and my doctor had to finally put me on viccodane to take the edge off when the week is at the end where its so bad all i do is cry... Im on a prescription multivitamin and when its warm out i swim and i walk. Winters are horrible.. I drink tons of water and juice and i love fruits and vegitable. Im just so ....(what i would give to be pain free). Anyway, anyone with similar and if so what do you do to combat this?

Im not sure if I have fibro or not but this rhumatoid doc told me I have some of the symptoms. I get pain in my joints occasionally and my muscles are stiff 24/7. If someone touches me in certain areas, it hurts. I usually take 2 asprins if I have any joint pain. The rhumatoid doc said there is no cure or treatment for fibro but I do notice if i excercise, the stiffness is not so bad.

I take vicodin for daily pain, and there are days when I really can't do anything because it hurts too much. I think its important to accept those limitations brought on by chronic pain because constantly fighting makes life way too hard. One thing I have found is what I am in alot of pain, eating make it owrse. It is almost as if I can't handle the extra burden of digestion. Then, after all that really severe pain subsides, I crave sweets like mad, probably bcause my nervous system has burned up everything that was easy to get to, lol. My doctor got a handicap placard approved for me so I don't have to worry too much about walking across ice, even though I usually stay home if there is a chance of a slip and fall, but I need to be able to open my car door all the way so that I don't have to twist to get in, and I can't turn my neck as far as most people wo I need the extra space to park. When I can't work outside of the home I am working here online. There are days I just work in bed with the laptop on one of those desks you can use in bed. There are times where my pain is so bad that I cannot really read or see very well, so that's when I pack it in and just watch tv. It helps to have nice things to wear when yourpain is really kicked up, assuming you can stand to have fabric on your skin. On a good day I can stand regular street clothing for about 9 to 12 hours, and after that I start feeling it irritating my flesh. Fuzzy jammies, bunny slippers, I suggest a whole special wardrobe that is cheery or very soft and plush so feeling bad has its good side. YOu might look into essential oils. They won't take away the pain, perse, but scent can help the blues that usually accompany your bad days. At least those are the things I do~!

Oh, im all for the warm, fuzzy soft..that is my wardrobe to a T. LOL, i remeber when i was younger it was high healed go go boots and tight pants fitted shirts. Now i cannt stand how they feel. I hurt so much in them i wonder who i ever wore them in the first place. I totally know where your coming from when you say sometimes it hurts so much a simple shirt can send a painful message through your skin. Funny you should mention the oils. I used to get the little oil balls from bath and body. They used to work great. I guess i kind of forgot about that. Ill have to go look and see if they still have them. thanks for responding :)
