hairless dogs?

My grandparents really miss having a dog -- and I think it could be good for them to have something to focus and dote upon. Their one concern is that no matter how well trained most dogs are, they shed loads, and they don't know if they could keep up with all the hair removal. What are some good low maintenance hairless (or limited hair, you know) dogs that you would recommend?
