can you please say which is the best anti-virus software

i use Avast Anti-virus now!! its amazing...its an intense scanner...that doesnt let the adwares and viruses even peek 2wards ur computer!! i had norton before...but my laptop started becoming slower n slower day by day! it always showed ' no virus,adware on your computer' every tym i performed a scan!! but when i loaded the Avast A-V...it detected 3 adwares...and that too in the windowz file ((it had managed to instal itself there!) imagine the damage tht cud hav happened!! nyway....after that i havnt even looked twice at nortan!! and im very proud of avast!!^_^

Hi there. I'm sure people will have varying answers to questions but for me it would be AVG by Grisoft. It's free and you can update it regularly. Not a resource hog like other antivirus apps.
