Partitioning problem?

i used super fdisk to delete a partition on my drive, but it seems that it really deleted it. the freed up space isnt recognized by windows. i should have +4Gb, for a total of around 7Gb. when i use the partitioning program it shows the windows partition as active, and another partition labelled "Free" as inactive, and that is where the 4Gb is. does anyone know how i cant get it back or how i should partition it so that windows will recognize that space?
