My mother moved into her home back in April of last year, and there was this cardnal that every morning would keep flying into the glass double doors. It would almost knock itself out when it hit the door. It would fall to the ground and then get up and do it again. When he wasnt doing that he would fly between all the vehicles looking at itself and then attacking all the mirrors. This went on for months! What in the world would make a bird do this? Have you ever seen a crazy bird or other crazy animal?

The male bluebirds to the same thing around here. It's interesting to hear of a cardinal pulling this stunt. My mother-in-law told me the bluebirds do it because they think their reflection is another bird and they want that bird in the window out of their territory. I solved my bashing bluebird problem by placing a beach towel up against the windowpane to keep the poor silly things from seeing their reflections.
