do people know weather their friends are in online or not

iam too dont know how to tell that if ur frnds r online or offline.if u have any procedure then plz inform me too..

Ya it is hard to know that if your friend is online or not but still if your friend's photograph appears first on the list that means that your friend is online......else the only other by asking you friend...."are you online..?" and if you get a reply that means your friend is online else nope he is not.
