Poor role models?

Do you think that young stars nowadays are poor image models, just plain misunderstood, or their public image stained by the media? I guess that any publicity, whether good or bad, is always good publicity for the stars because they get to be talked about. I also think that since the stars are being talked about, they should keep a good public image. They are supposed to be good role models for the youth who would easily imitate them. So, i guess Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and the likes of them should pull their act together for the sake of the people who like to be in their shoes right now (you know, rich and famous).
