Surely someone else on MyLot has lived in a PreFab house!

We live in a Gunnison Home. Most people have heard of Victory Homes or Sears Homes, but I usually get a puzzled look when I say that our home is a Gunnison Home. Gunnison was "green" before his time. Our house is tight as a drum. The 18 windows keep it sunny and warm enough on a bright day that we don't even need to turn on the heat unless the temperature dips below 40! Space is limited, about 800 square feet, but was so well planned that there's plenty of room here for a family of four and a reasonable amount of "stuff". We hope to one day add on another 1000 square feet which will house a master bedroom, second community area, laundry room and master bath. It will have to be a separate structure as our house doesn't weigh much, but we will make a covered windway between the two to make it seem as one. If you live in a PreFab House...what kind is it and what's it like?

Well, that is something. I do not think that we ever lived in anything like that before at all.

Sounds lovely! I live in one end of a 3-unit row house that's really not very well built but I have made a lovely garden for myself that I don't want to leave behind.
