At what age u think should a child be allowed to use net freely???

taking in sonsideration the prvailing situation and the ill effects of internet , should the childrens be allowed to use internet with full freedom??

God no children are'nt responsible enough to be left alone on the computer. My oldest is 16 and if you let her use the computer she's on every different dating site trying to hook up with strangers. I think this is one really bad down fall of the net. I can keep her off them here but what about her friends houses and so.
