Soccer or football?

Which do you prefer? I find both sports interesting but I think soccer is more exciting in the sense that the game is more spontaneous and is easy to follow. Football, on the other hand, has so many rules and is not so spontaneous because the players keep on stopping, then an analysis of the game is gonna happen, then action again. Don't you think the players are losing their momentum? Don't get me wrong. I like both sports. Just wanna know your opinion.
