Current trends about drum equipment

Every year drum manufacturers try to come up with something new to offer to skin bashers everywhere. We have seen many trends in the drum industry, such as innovative hardware designs, the use of many drum shell materials other that wood, the introduction of suspension system for toms, the reduction in drum sizes for standard drum kits, etc. What do you think are the most significant trends in the drumming industry right now?
