Since Reggaeton first made mainstream success in America back in the early 90's its grew and grew into the major genre it is today, its rapid growth through the 2000's helped solidify this genre with the likes of hiphop. How do you feel about this music, although its spoken in the spanish dialect with alot of Puerto Rican, Dominican, & Colombian slang, the beats are hot and have clubs everywhere alive. Artist like Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, & Wisin Y Yandel helped put Reggaeton on the map and enjoy major success due to their efforts. I think the fusion between Reggaeton and Hip Hop is a beautiful thing its the coming together of black and latino cultures to create such a unique blend of music.
