Crocodile meat is consumed in some countries such as Australia, Thailand, South Africa and Cuba (in pickled form). The meat is white and its nutritional composition compares favourably with that of more traditional meats. It does tend to have a slightly higher cholesterol level than other meats. Crocodile meat has a delicate flavour and its taste can be complemented by the use of marinades. Choice cuts of meat include backstrap and tail fillet. Do you agree with this?

With bird flu hitting hard, and with other issues with other meats it might be better source of meat. It just depends how long Crocs can survive....We have to eat and some country can't eat chickens and Cattle for it doesn't live well in their country and if crocs are they so be it. But for me I am not much into it.

Well I like the taste of gator tail , and we sell it here too USA,but I have never tried it pickled. The tail is the best to me..the backstrap has a stronger flavor, more to the taste of fish.

I've had alligator tail before. It's okay, tastes sort of like spicy chicken. I don't necessarily approve of eating alligator or any meat, but I love meat and could probably never become a vegetarian.
