Which IS good Winrar Or WinZip??? / myLot

WinRar - I like to compress my files using winrar

In my opinion I think Winrar is much more faster than winzip..So, I like to compress my files using winrar only..What about you....Tell which is best?

I'd recommend using WinRAR instead of Winzip. It supports more archiving formats than Winzip. The compression of RARs are also slightly better than ZIPs. =) Hope that helps!

I agree. The fact that winrar can unzip zip files, while winzip cannot handle rar files, that's a big ++++++ for winrar.

same as me ^^ .... rar is compress more solid than zip, thats why it grabs more user n more lately

i dont use winzip..since i use xp..xp have have a built in compress zip so i didnt need it anymore..usually i use winrar for many type of files..

thats true, after using winrar we don't need any other compresion software (almost no needing, but sometimes still need for brand new compresion)

I like winrar. coz it supports winzip too. Also winrar has better compression ratio. But winrar is not very ffamous and most people still prefer winzip :(.

I have to go with WinRAR. Overall I just think its better. It handles both files and its free. I dont know if winzip is free or not but I always get a free trial version of it that eventually expires after about 45 days.

I'm also compress using winrar, it is faster, and it could compress more little size than winzip. and also winrar could works with many other compresion method. for me right now the best still winrar offcourse.

I always use winrar lately (arround 2 years), because winrar could also works with many other compresion method. I think rar type compresion is better than the zip compresion , it could compress more little.

I will definitely say Winrar...this is because...it supports more tyope of compression and very easier to use. No hassle of classic and wizard kode which i feel is the biggest demerit of winzip.
