Fraudgulent check

This has happened to me twice. I had got a letter in the mail along with a large amount of a check stating that I had won a promotional deal with a curise to the Bahamas and that there was $45,000 awaiting to be claimed provided I get incontact them by such and such a date along with submitting the check they mailed me together with the letter. I went to the bank to deposit it. The next day when I wanted to withdraw it, the bank had told me it was a counterfeit check. These people are stationed somewhere in Canada. If this ever happens to anyone. I urge you to tear up the check.
