parents used to proivide pocket money to their children so that they are happy and spend that money among their friends or just for their use.
how much do you get?

I don't believe in giving pocket money to my children. If they need anything they have to ask me and I decide if its important enough to buy.
We have hardly enough money to live on as it is, so I would get very cross to see them wasting money on things they don't need.
