We are having snow, but it’s not fun

At first when we were not getting snow during Christmas time we all were worried. But from last 2-3 weeks it’s so cold here. Having snow is not fun any more. Heating bills are going high. Going out side is not comfortable at all. How is the weather in your place now?

Here in KY, the high is 32 today! It's been so cold, but no snow, yet. They are calling for it tonight and tomorrow. They think we will have 2 to 3 inches of snow by the time it's done. But going by their success record of predicting the weather, that means it will either rain, or we are going to have a blizzard, LOL.

Well we had lots of snow here in England last week, but now it has all cleared up and it is quite mild - in fact very, unseasonably mild for this time of year.It was sunny and about 15 C today.

It's cold, snowy, and no fun here in Iowa, too. For the past 4 years we lived in Tennessee. Everyone there kept wanting snow. We kept telling them that they didn't know what they were asking for. My son called me at school one day and told me his car (in Iowa) was completely snowed into the parking lot. My classroom assistant looked amazed and said, "I'll bet it will take 3 or 4 days for that to melt off." She couldn't believe it when I told her it probably wouldn't melt until March or April. We loved not having snow, but we just had to get back closer to our new grandkids, so here we are, back with the snow.

It has been really warm here in Ireland for the last couple of days - so warm that I had to switch off my central heating. Normally, we would have a lot of frost at this time of year, but all we have is rain, and it never seems to stop. I would love to see some snow. We had a little last week, but that was in the midlands where my grandchildren are living. They were at school when it snowed, and it had melted by the time they were coming homw, so they never got to play in it.

That's really good, otherwise heating makes the electric bill so high.

I am in Texas, so it is raining. I have horrible allergies to the tree pollen and it has been out in full force. The rain help a little. Now we are expecting horrible thunderstorms with tornadoes and hail. Lovely.

We are having a really bad cold snap right now. This weekend could break records again. Our highs are going to be teens below zero and our lows are going to be like -20 with windchills of -40 to -60 below. I really hope it ends soon. I can't afford to heat my house anymore either.

Christmas here was balmy as well. Now the frigid temperatures are keeping out furnace working. Thankfully bought it off Ebay inexpensively. Great furnace man. Our steps are slippery since we been having snow showers about every day. Tuesday of this week we had a clipper come through and snow and chill things down somemore. WEather guy says that we will be in the single digits and windchill to 10 or 20 below. Sure will not be fun. My body does not take the cold anymore, had to have my hubby work for on Tuesday when my body stiffen and could not move around very well. Will see how long that this lasts.

we never get snow down here, it's mostly sunny and warm, but there may be some rain and wind storms sometimes .. I liked snow but it's good to play in it for a while not to live with it all of the time .. I'm glad it's warm here :)

I wonder if we are in the same weather system. It is snowing and blowing soo hard here. The snow is not falling it is flying across the sky sideways. It will be another bad night for us calving. Brrrr I can feel it already. I am going to take a nap before I have to go out again.

It has been snowing here for the last 2 weeks on and off and it is cold. Really cold. It was 4 degrees at 9 Am and is not warming up much. It never did get up to 15 all day and now it cooling down again. Supposed to be colder tomorrow night. I hate winter. My husband works outside at night. It is colder at night than in the day. I worry about him. At least we heat with coal so our power bill wont be too much higher. We also have a heat pump that comes on if the coal heat should fail to keep the house 60 degrees. So the heat pump dont come on much except at night.

Well, we're definitely not getting any snow here thank goodness. Otherwise, I'd have a lot to worry about. Afterall, I'm on the equator. It has been raining a lot lately. A few times a day. It's getting better now that we can see a little bit of the sun's rays. It was all rainy and gloomy before. Some parts of the country were flooded but not anymore, I hope.

In the Philippines, it is hot as ever. Although a few weeks back, there's been a cold front here. Soemhow it was cooler than usual. Cooler than those supposed to be cool months in the Philippines. I wasnt complaining because then it saves me some electricity bills from using the fan or aircon to keep cool when the weather was warm.:)

I totally agree with you. Where I live it has been cold and snowy. I am tired of it already. I am looking forward to spring. My heat bill is going to be enormous.

Right at this moment we are getting a little dusting of snow and it is pretty cold. It's barely made it over 10 degrees farinheit the last few days. We also didn't get anything for snow other than a dusting prior to christmas.

That's the trouble with snow .. you can't have snow unless you have the cold with it .. apart from a few days here (UK) e have had a really mild winter so far .. although it has turned cold this last few days .. my heating gas has lasted twice as long this last 6 weeks as it would usually ... so that's quite a difference ...
