Have you ever felt that you have ben betrayed buy your own friend. You feel that this person is a very good friend and then one day you overhear him/her saying thing about you which hurt your feelings. What would you do if this happens? Or how would you deal with it?

I have just been betrayed by my friend . I had leant her 300 dollars cash and told her I needed it back by the beginning of January . She had a child living with her and although she was getting a bunch of money for this she felt it wasn't enough . She was also neglecting the child in a big way which was bordering on abuse in my opinion . For example she had the child who was living with her working and then would take all her money and spend it on herself and then spend all her time complaining about how this child was ungrateful to eveything she was doing for her . She was planning on kicking the child out for Christmas and said she hoped she would have nothing more then a paper box to live in . Of course I took the child in and she is now a member of our family and always will be and I broke all ties with this person but she did betray me as she stole my money and then went around telling people that I was abusive to children and should not have this child as I was unfit , she even went to the school and tried to stop me from having this child put in school . She is 17 and only has her grade 6 and I would like to see her get her education but this is now becoming a big problem as they don't want to allow me to put her in the school . I knew in the past that she had a dark side but I wanted to trust her as she was one of my oldest friends . Some lessons are really learned the hard way as we are out our money but in the long run , I ended up with a very polite and honest new daughter that I love just as much as if she were my own .

Its shocking to know how bad people can be not just towards others but also toward their own people. Some people just cannot be trusted. Its good that the child is in better hands now. Best of luck with her education.

Yeah, everyone has felt/had this happen to them. To me, that's just how you learn who your real friends are. I'd just ignore them.

Oh i've tried ignoreing them but then at times its difficult because you know you cannot go on ignoring the people you used to be with just the day before.
