Is Leonardo DiCaprio overdue for an Oscar or Best Actor Award of some sort?

He is a great actor from his What's Eating Gilbert Grape.. days. He is brilliant and picks great roles and play them very well. Why hasn't he been the one to win the award for Best Actor in a Movie? Does anyone agree with me that he is overdue for an award recognizing his acting skills.
