Is Goodfellas your favorite movie about the Maffia?

Goodfellas is such an amazing movie. We really see what goes on in the Maffia. We see the Maffia's downfall due to drugs. Ray Liotta was phenomenal in the movie and so was his wife. I'll never forget her look when she realizes Jimmy wants to kill her. This movie has an excellent soundtrack too. I enjoyed it much more than The Godfather. Because of Goodfellas, we have the Sopranos.

I did enjoy the Godfather movies as well. I just enjoyed the music in Goodfellas more. I was also a Joe Pesci fan and he was crazy in the movie.

I thought that Goodfellas was an amazing movie. Ray Liotta did a fantastic job. I do however, thing that the original Godfather movie was the best "mafia themed" movie ever done. It was so realistic and really portrayed the mob as they are.

Did you enjoy the sequels to the Godfather as well? Most people didn't like the third sequel. I thought it was pretty good. Goodfellas made Ray Liotta a star.

Yeah I liked watching this movie myself. It got my going on watching other mafia movies like the Godfather and shows like The Sopranos.

I think both Goodfellas and The Godfather are best movies about the mafia, but Goofellas movie shows us the middle class of the mafia , The Godfather instead shows us the verry top of the mafia, negosiations between the heads of the family. Anyway The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Donnie Brasco, A bronx tale are my favorite mafia movies

I liked it too. But my fave mafia movie is The Godfather. You can see how their power rise gradually by eliminating everyone who come in their way. I also like the movies Casino, Untouchables & Scarface! (say hello to my little friend.. lol)

Goodfellas might be the best gangster movie out there. The cast of this film is just outstanding. Robert DeNiro always plays a good mobster in all mafia movies and is a superb actor. One of the things that really brings this movie out is the atmosphere and background music of this movie. Playing the oldies and the way the men dressed brought out the genius of this movie. Great film and one of the best, if not the best.

I think we the Sopranos because of both The Godfather and Goodfellas.i love them both.I love The Godfather because it is a epic.And I love Goodfellas because it is not. With Godfather you have this sweeping story. But with Goodfellas the story has more detail because it is told on a smaller scale. My favorite scene in Goodfellas is when Ray takes Lorraine to dinner. It is a long shot of them walking down the back way through the kitchen to their front row seats in the club.
