how do you say "im sorry" in a sincere way????

if you've hurt someone's feelings...how do you say "im sorry" to show that you are really sincere in saying it.. do you give gifts or offerings? do you hug them? or just say "im sorry"... for me.. when i say "im sorry" i really mean it from the bottom of my heart.. honestly it's hard for me so say im sorry...but when i say it, it really comes from my heart and i really feel sorry for what ive done... i think giving gifts or offerings is not important... it's how sincere you are that matters most and not the gifts you will give...^^
