Ever heard of this expression? Do you agree? Not a parent myself, I honesty don't know how I would be when I become a mother myself.. but i do know that kids nowadays are becoming more spoilt everyday... is this the reason why??

It's in the book of Proverbs. It is about discipline. And since it's in the Bible it's also about the relationship between man and God. It doesn't have to mean physical punishment. But yes, children need discipline, and sometimes punishment.

I have three children all girls ages 9,5 and almost 4. My kids have everything they could possibly want -- designer clothes, a 40 ft x 30 ft playroom stocked with toys and even a built in 2 floor playhouse -- we have 2 and sometimes 3 of everything. We have 5 different power wheels ride on toys for the girls and 2 electric scooters and a go cart. I have never hit my children, I don't believe in it. My children know how to listen and respect people, they just don't have to go without. I don't want my children to feel like they have to go without anything, and as long as we can afford it and don't have to charge anything to credit cards -- we buy it. My oldest even has a cell phone. We pay for dance lessons, cheerleading, twirling, and karate weekly. I feel that a parent should do what they can for their children. We are expecting our 4th child and plan on adoping after this one, because there are many children who need loving homes.

You sound very experienced. It is good that you are able to provide for your kids this way. Unfortunately not many of them can. It is obvious you raise ur kids well.. Good for you!! Bravo..

I'm not a parent myself, but I had seen how my siblings educate and brought up their offsprings. Shouldn't agree less with you on how kids are more spoilt nowadays. But to spoil them too much can only cause disaster to their future.
