walking for weight loss and fitness?

do you think it can make a dramatic change? ive heard a lot of people had lost weight few walking instead of using transport and going on power walks. apparently it gives you a flatter stomach too! seems to me though that walking is little effort to see such a change- wheres the catch? lol.

Walking is something you can do anywhere - no special gear required - except maybe a good pair of shoes. Many people underestimate the effectiveness of walking for weight loss and heart health. All exercise burns calories, but not all exercise is necessarily using fat as the primary source of those calories. Walking is a great fat burner, and is without the injury risk of running, jogging, or other more intense exercise.

Well, that could be true. But, I wouldn't know for sure because I have never done it myself to know exactly how it works.
