I usually hate drinking tea but some of my friends tell me that tea has a ot of medicinal value and helps to inhibit cancer causing sells as well and it also supposedly prolongs one's life. Is this true and do you know of any other benefits that tea provides one with?

Tea is beneficial to your health overall. But specifically you want to drink the unprocessed, organic tea(ex. green tea). Those are the types that contain most of the antioxidants and even micronutrients that you would not find in many foods. Antioxidants counter hazardous antigens in your body, cleanses the system by stimulating blood flow to the extremities, accelerates metabolism(great for losing weight)and even gives you more energy. I use green tea as a substitute to coffee.

Tea contains antioxidants that make your general well being feeling better. It also has been proven that tea helps depression and anxiety. I dont know about major deseases but who knows what studies will show in 10 years or so.
