do you sell on Ebay? Have you ever had an annoying buyer?

I just had an auction up and a woman from CA won it. She emailed me 2x a day for the 4days after the auction ended asking if I sent it and when it would get to her, got a bit annoying (!). I sent it priority on the day after the auction ended. Since the package had to travel cross country it took 3 days to get to her. So after it gets to her, she refuses to email me back to say if she got and has yet to leave me any feedback. well thanks lady! you go and annoy the h*ll out of me for 4 days and then don't bother to leave me feedback at all!! For the record I love ebay, but I can't stand some people on it (especially noobs)

I sell on eBay often and have an eBay store. After I ship every package, I email the buyer with the tracking number. This seems to work well for me but I'll still get emails that say "Hey when did you send my item" or "Did you send it yet?" or "Why haven't I received it yet?" I sent the email with the tracking number once to their direct email AND once through eBay's mail system so they get it twice and I'll still get a few that ask me if I sent it. I send it twice because several people's emails are no longer valid (which makes me wonder if you're buying on eBay and using paypal, why wouldn't you have a valid and updated email???) and some people have said they've never gotten an email from me. At least by sending it with eBay I KNOW they've gotten it because eBay keeps it in their inbox on their eBay page, plus eBay sends an email to them to let them know they have a message. I have had an annoying buyer here or there. One person left me negative feedback because they didn't get the book in time for their class. They knew it was being sent media mail. They knew that it would take anywhere from 4-21 business days as the post office has told me the length of how long it can take for media mail. I stated all of this on the auction page before they bought it, plus they had the option to pay for Priority shipping. I tried to work it out with them but they wouldn't budge. You win some, you lose some.

good idea with sending multiple emails. as for the guy who didn't read the mediamail thing, this kind of thing drives me crazy when people don't fully read the auction.

You are lucky you had no feedback instead of a negative. I find some people give you negative feedbacks when there is a misunderstanding that is there fault. Sometimes I'd just rather get a negative rating than be bothered with dealing with some of the rude people on there.

i know but i'm just pissed off because i didn't do anything out of line. i sent it, priority, which takes at the most 3 days, and i get harrassed. so annoying. yea no feedback is better than neg feedback i guess.

I buy and sell on ebay and I am usually fast at making contact either way and payments always fast and as a seller I will always let the person Know when the item has been posted and will leave feedback if I was happy with them, some I have a few issues so I will not leave feedback untill they do. I would only leave Neg feedback if it was very necersary, but have never had too yet. There are some very rude inconsiderate people out there and who want everything for nothing. I know things can come up and delay you with a payment or postage etc maybe she just hasn't had time to log onto the computer to annoy you yet... Hope you get your feedback soon. I've had allot of people not leave feedback as long as it isn't negative I'm fine with it...

Yes I buy and sell on ebay. I am disabled so I love ebay. I have never had a bad buyer but 1 time I had a seller who tried to charge me triple postage. I think postage max should be actual shipping plus $1 or 2 for handling. Some make the postage high so they make more money without paying the higher ebay fees.

I totaly agree with you i hate ebay buyers who ask to many questions if you shipped it and all that stuff and then they would turn around and ignore you or not even leave a feedback after they recive the item. I always would go head and leave the feedback 2 weeks after i shipped the tiem. but those guys are annoying. what about those who bid on item and never pay or respond and almost always they win the auction at a very high price and you end uo stuck with them and the actuall buyers would get that item from somebody else. and now you got list the item and hope you that another idiot wouldn,t bid on it. this is so annoying and aggrevating

Well there are really trouble. I have an ebay store and there are just buyers you cant understand. My experience was they paid for the item right away not thinking the shipping cost might be more expensive because they live in the other country. I tried to contact the buyer but didnt get any replies and I didnt ship.Last thing I know the buyer filed a complain on paypal. Well he gave me a negative feedback so I gave him back a negative feedback too.I didnt care if it can destroy my reputation. I was giving him the taste of his own medicine.

Oh what a nice person...NOT! Was she a newbie with little feedback? Some of these people act like you should be able to wiggle your nose and zap the items to them pronto. I think she was being totally unreasonable in bothering you and not not replying to your email and not leaving feedback is just rude. Are you leaving feedback for her?

it's just a business site so just do business and don't think abt individuals.

no, i can't think about it that way. it is individuals that compose your business. I think you have to value the individual, but it is ok to get annoyed by some of them.

I hear ya'. Soon as I get paid, I send an email thanking them, and state when the item will ship. If they keep pestering, I camly re-state when the item was shipped, give them the tracking number and let them know what site they can track. (As much as I would love to just scream "Quit being a pain in my a**)

I sell on eBay, but I haven't encountered too many annoying people. I think the worst was someone who bought a pair of shoes from me and then waited a week before paying me, despite my emails.

On the flip side of your discussion topic, I don't sell items on Ebay, but I do bid a lot on items there. I can't stand sellers who take their sweet time sending me products that I have paid for. I am a very responsible buyer, and I ALWAYS pay for items that I win the same day that I win them. I recently paid $142.50 for an item, then waited 10 days. I didn't receive my item or any messages from the seller, so I sent him a message asking him if he had shipped the item. He responded to me asking me when I was going to pay for it. I was sooooo mad. I called my bank, and the money had been withdrawn from my account 9 days earlier! He got my money and he's saying that he didn't. I still haven't received my item, and I really don't know what to do. Anyways, my point is that buyers are not the only ones on Ebay that are potentially irresponsible, dishonest, and annoying. There are plenty of sellers that fall into that category as well.

You say she refused to email you after she received it but did you email her again after that to see how it's going? People go through a learning process and sometimes we need to just be patient with them. I love eBay and sell things periodically but have never had a problem with any customer. Well I did have one customer that thought I should have printed out a 100 page eBook and shipped it to him. But he just didn't understand digital delivery. Easily solved I offered his money back but he said he understood and didn't want it back.

i was just selling PS3 on ebay and it was either auction or buy it now for $800.00 some jerk both time after 1st listing and re listing did buy it now with unverified id and wanted me to ship to nigeria. he wanted to ship it and then have me input the tracking number on paypal website so they can credit my account which i knew was a scam since paypal themselves urge u get money credited to account first before shipping so they said not to anything and do not sell that to the person. this scammers also send email from paypal and have the page displayed as looking very similiar to paypal. so anyone wanting to ship to nigeria make sure u get the payment and it gets clear before u ship it out.

I sell on ebay and I have run into my share of annoying buyers. The ones that email with tons of questions before they even bid on the item. And then they finally bid and then drive you crazy asking when it is gonna be shipped and lots of other questions. I don't get many of them. I usually get the nice pleasant, easy to deal with buyers. But it seems every month or two one of these buyers pops up. And no matter what you do they are never happy. And you are right, they never leave you feedback no matter how helpful you were.
