Those strawberries

Whoever posted that pic of strawberries on this topic, darn you. I am craving strawberries so much right now because of it. It's funny, too because where I live in California there are strawberry fields everywhere. Sometimes I want to just jump in the fields and snag a few of them. Anyone ever do that?

I used to pick strawberries when they were in season in NY state, but I ate faster than I filled up my container! There is nothing like fresh berries. Are the strawberries ripe now in California? Can we look forward to seeing them in the stores on the east coast soon? I don't care what they charge, they always look so good that I buy them!

California just got a bunch of rain this past weekend so they've picked up. They also opened up a new strawberry field right near me, so they should be headed to the east coast very soon!
