Contraception: The Mirena coil (IUS)

I don't know if anyone is able to help me on this, but I've had the mirena coil fitted since April 2006, and I've been experience some side effects, such as: Acne, weight gain, and depression and cramps. I just wanted to know if anyone else is using this method, and experiencing anything like this. Or if anyone has recommendations for a better contraceptive, that does not cause weight gain! Help!!!

obviously i havent got this being a guy but i have heard stories about the symptoms you have there i may not be much help but ive heard of funny stories that early ones used to affect tv and radio reception when people with the coil fitted went past. i suppose it is a better method than being sterilised but then in your case maybe not so.
i think maybe your achnecould be down to stress i stil lget it now so does my partner now and again usually after a heated stressfull situation perhaps with the children not behaving or an argument they just seem to pop up. dosent bother me though im used to it.
