plane VS train VS bus

If you were planning to travel what would be your preffered method? Does it depend on the distance your travelling, personal preference, or some other factors? Share your opinions here.
Personally I've never been on a train so I can't comment on it. The bus would be preffered for short distance, a plane for long. I am considering taking the bus for a cross province trip, some opinions on this would be helpful.

Ye it depends on distance. If your travelling abroad obviously you have no choice but to travel by plane. I personally hate it but its worth it for a holiday! For shorter distances it depends on convenience if i'm going somwhere near a train station I prefer the train as its quicker and more reliable. Often more comfortable too. The bus can be useful though for very short distances and its cheap.

Good answer. Now that I think about it, the answer is pretty much a given. Plane flights can get so cheap now a days. I can actually fly to calgary cheaper then it is to bus.

I think buses are great if just moving around the city. I don't know about other places, but in ottawa the buses have dedicated roads.

Well I live in Mississipi so there are no city busses. And I would NEVER take the greyhound bus anywhere. If it's far far away, I'll take a plane, otherwise, i'll drive myself there

for me it really depends on the distance, i like to drive but if its more than 8-10 hrs to get there then id take the plane no train no bus i dont like either.

Well yes, it depends on the distance. I personally think that bus or trains is more enjoyable for me. But of course it's impossible when you're travelling to somewhere far. Plane is faster but it makes me bored because the clouds are the only scenery I can see, unlike bus or trains that allow me to see many things around. I never been on cruise ship, I wonder if it's nice there.
