Does anyone else think customer service has gone down the drain in the pass few years?

I absolutely agree with you. I had so many bad customer service experience from the past few years with different companies. Those customer services just rude, and non friendly with our customers. In such competitive environment, we should know what is good tactics to retain the customers, and what is not. Non friendly customer service obviously is one of them.

I would absolutely agree with you on this. Many businesses just won't care about the customer's dissatisfaction, especially those big corporations. I, myself would definitely place a yelp on those online review site and let massive public to know about how those businesses treat their customers. Now, I think most businesses learn their lessons, and they should know better how important is customer service now. It depends on their survival.

yes! everytime I try to call capital one I get some indian person I can't understand. (No offense to any indians) And the automated systems are terrible. I know I just tried to call Target about my credit card and it kept hanging up on me!!

I think it has. I mean employees are rude at my local Super Walmart. The last time I went the girl that waited on me is lucky I didn't call on her. I mean she was fussing about something I had bought thay she had to search for. Fussing about how slow I was getting my grociers in my buggy. I have ms so she needed to be a little bit nicer. I know the next time I go to there and I get another rude cashier I will. I use to work there when I was there I was taught to treat every customer with respect that was over 10 years ago. I guess Walmart dosen't care about customers like they use too.

society is getting more rude... hard pressed to find a man under 27 that will open a door for a lady anymore either... of course one could point out there are no longer any "ladies"

I think so. People are so rude now and rushing to get rid of you. The hubby was talking to an insurance employee and the woman went off saying he needed to calm down or she was going to let him go.He was pretty calm with her. So, I don't know what she was talking about. When your are at a store and you have a question for the employee and they snap at you like you should already know where the item is or how much it costs.
