Creel Fishing

I live on the west coast of scotland and recently moved to an island. i want to fish for shellfish, crabs, lobsters, prawns. I have no idea how to go about it and what areas, bait, time oday/year i should be looking to drop the Creels. Trying not to look like an idiot any ideas - websites I could pick up info. On the plus side I have a small boat and use it for mackerel fishing. Thanks DM
